The 10th game day was played on Friday-evening in the men’s LBBL.
Sparta Bertrange won the top game against Basket Esch 80:73 behind 28 points and 7/9 « 3-pointers » by Max Logelin. Sparta trailed in the second half but came back with a furious run to win the game and stay on top of the standings.
Amicale managed to pull even in the standings with T71 with a win in their direct duell on Friday. Dudelange played with 2 new professional players but that change did not have a positive effect on the end result as Amciale won the game 96:77. Williams led Amicale with 38 points while Melcher and Konen added 18 and 19 points.
Arantia was able to win the derby on the road in Heffingen 93:77. Heffingen’s captain Max Schmit had to leave the court in the second quarter after receiving a technical fould and an unsportsmanlike foul. Derek Wilson (19 points) and Malik Wilson (18) had great scoring nights for Arantia, the guests took control of the game in the third quarter with multiple made shots from outside the arc.
Mihailo Andjelkovic hit a clutch shot to send the game Contern – Etzella into overtime and could have won the game with a las-second shot in regulation. However, Contern still won the game 105:102 in overtime while 4 players had 17+ points for the hosts. Etzella could not get a shot up to to tie the game in the end (video).
Résidence beat Racing 121:99 behind 43 points by Fletcher, this game was decided early. Walferdange stays on top of the standings, Racing has only 2 wins this season so far.
Led by Foster (27 points, 19 rebounds), Telstar grabbed a win over the Musel Pikes (90:69). It was Telstar’s 4th win this season while the Musel Pikes have only won 1 game so far.
On Sunday, the 11th game day is on the schedule before the league will go on a break.
