It all came down to a decisive game 3 in the 1/4-finals between Résidence and Amicale in the men’s play-offs. In the end, the guests from Steinsel were able to win this incredibly competitive game.
Résidence – Amicale 76:82
– Despite early foul problems and an injury by Fletcher, Résidence built a small lead and led 35:22 at one point, but Amicale reduced the deficit before the break (37:35)
– It was a very hard fought game after the break, Malcolm Kreps put on a dunk show with 3 big finishes in the third quarter (videos)
– In extremely intense final minutes and seconds, Alex Stein fouled out of the game with 1 minute remaining and the score tied at 76:76.
– Jarvis Williams hit a big and difficult shot with the score tied (video) and Amicale went on to win this game by 6 points
– Jarvis Williams scored 27 and Bob Melcher added 24 to overcome a game-high 33 points by Alex Stein
– Amicale hit 19/20 free-throws, Melcher iced the game with 2 late attempts
On Saturday, the first games of the women’s quarter finals were played –> T71, Amicale, Résidence and Gréngewald take 1:0 lead
