Amicale Steinsel is the men’s champion of the season 2021/22. In the decisive game 5 of the finals on Saturday, Steinsel was able to beat Dudelange 87:68 and won the series 3:2!

– Dino Ceman missed this game (injured)
– Led by Melcher (13 first quarter points), Amicale jumped out to a big early lead (34:15) after 10 minutes
– T71 was icecold from the floor (36 % overall, 16% from the 3-point-line) in the first half, but the guests came a little closer late in the second quarter before Amicale had another run to take a comfortable 54:36 run into half-time
– T71 did not manage to make a big run in the 3rd quarter and trailed by 19 points entering the last quarter
– In the last quarter, T71 came as close as 13 points but Amicale always had an answer and did not let the opponent come back into the game
– Jarvis Williams scored a game-high 37 points, Bob Melcher added 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists
– It is the 9th men’s championship title in Amicale’s club history

After the game, Tom Schumacher announced that he will not continue to coach T71 next season, a new coach will be presented next week.
