Ben Kovac (21) is taking over a bigger and bigger role in the national team. At a young age, he has taken over the role of the only foreign professional player in his club in the Netherlands (Den Helder Suns) and he is one of the top scorers in the new BNXT league.
In the 2 games this week with the men’s national team this week, Kovac played 32 minutes in average, he scored 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in these games.
Ken Diederich, national team head coach, said in the press conference after the game that Kovac made „a huge step forward over the last months thanks to his professionalism and his new role in the Netherlands ».
„I have gained more and more confidence over the last months, but I am not satisfied and I want to become a much better player in the future », says the young guard who will be a big part of our national team for many years to come.
