Game day 12 was played in the men’s National 2 on Saturday evening.
Us Heffingen was able to win its second game within 4 days. After a heroic performance in the cup competition and the victory against Basket Esch on Wednesday, Heffingen won 89:70 against Racing Luxembourg. With this victory and a loss by Schieren at the same time, Heffingen retakes the shared lead in the standings. Jonathan Janssen had a monster performance with 38 points and 14 rebounds to lead the team, Philipe Arendt (11) and Tom Schomer (10) also scored in double digits.
The Black Frogs Schieren lose the sole lead in the standings after losing 77:80 at home against Black Star Mersch. Marquavian Stephens scored a game-high 35 points as Mersch takes important two points to climb to the third place in the standings.
The Hegehogs Bascharage were able to grab their second win of the season with a 100:64 victory over the winless team Telstar Hesper. Aziz Ndiaye led the team with 35 points and 25 rebounds while Alan Bedirhanoglu posted a triple double with 23 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds. Jerome Besenius stepped up with 29 points for the guests, he made 9/16 threes.
As Zolwer stromed back to grab a 68:61 win over Avanti Mondorf. The guests won the fourth quarter 23:11. 4 players of the guests scored in double digits, Tylik Evans led the team with 19 points. This was a key victory in the standings as both teams are direct neighbours. Zolwer also wins the direct comparison after winning the first meeting of the season against Mondorf by 10 points.
