Game day 7 out of 10 was on the schedule on Saturday evening in the men’s National 2 play-offs.
The Black Frogs Schieren won the main game of the weekend. In a duell between the tied second placed team in the standings, Schieren was able to beat Black Star Mersch 82:72. 24 points and 22 rebounds by Desean Hampton and 18 points off the bench by Francis Kneip helped Schieren turn the game around in the final quarter. With this victory, Schieren takes a 1-point lead over the opponent in the standings, wins the direct comparison and takes the sole second place in the standings.
Avanti Mondorf jumps to the third place in the standings with a 84:64 victory over Racing Luxembourg. Mondorf took an early lead and never looked back, the team has a 6:1 record in the play-offs and is now tied with Black in 3rd place. Luke Harper led his team with 27 points.
League leader US Heffingen was able to beat AS Zolwer 101:78 in a game that does not have an influence on the race for promotion. 4 Heffingen-players scored 13+ points as the home team. Tylik Evans scored more than half the points for the guests (41 out of 78) . After promoting a few weeks ago, Heffingen has clinched the first place of the league with this victory.
