The hosts took control of the game with a 27.13 first quarter, Dakota Zinser scored a team-high 34 points and Billy McDaniel added 32 points, Sam Ferreira was also in double digits with 17 points. Wiltz has won 3 out of 12 games so far this season.
On Friday, Racing Luxembourg earned a 86:73 win over Black Star Mersch. With that victory, the team from the capital is back at a balanced record (8:6), Black Star has a 8:4 record and can be considered the positive surprise this season in the men’s second highest league. Flenard Whitfield led Racing with 26 points, Matt Weir added 21 points and Jeff Keller scored 10 points.
On Saturday, Avanti Mondorf trailed early on the road in Schieren but was able to come back and finally beat the promoted team Black Frogs 87:78. US player Blake Seits scored a season high 46 points, he made 10 three-pointers to help his team grab the road victory, Steve Kuhlmann added a personal season-high 21 points. Walter Williams scored 35 points for the hosts, Schieren has won 1 out of 12 games this season while Mondorf stays in a good position with a 8:3 record.
The league is now on a short winter break and will continue on January 7th.
