Pascal Meurs and Sparta Bertrange agreed on a contract extension at the end of last season after several discussions between the club members and former president Frank Arendt who then decided to quit as president of the club.
A few days before the start of training camp, Pascal Meurs decided to leave Sparta because he received an offer to coach Valencia (Spain), Sparta accepted his demand to leave Luxembourg to take over this coaching opportunity.
Sparta will now have to look for a new men’s coach to start the season.
