The finals of the « CUP FLBB » competition will tip off the cup weekend at the Coque in Kirchberg.
In the women’s competition, the co-leaders of the Nationale 2 will meet at the Coque. Black Star Mersch and the Black Frogs Schieren both have a 13:1 record in the league. Black Star is the current title holder and therefore wants to win the title for a second straight year. For Schieren, it would be the first women’s cup FLBB title in its club’s history. In the league’s competition, Mersch won the first meeting by 8 points while Schieren won the second meeting by 7 points, both teams have not lost a game against a different opponent all season. Everything is ready for a showdown of the best 2 teams of the league starting at 19:00.
In the men’s competition, Racing B is at the Coque for the second straight year. After losing last year’s final against Arantia Larochette B, Xavier Engel and his teammates are looking to hold the trophy on Friday evening. The team from the capital has the best record in the men’s National 3 (11:2). Opponent Nitia Beetebuerg has a 10:4 record this season and is looking to win this competition a third time after 2014 and 2022. The game will start at 21:00.
