An exciting week is ahead with the cup 1/4 finals on Wednesday and Thursday.
In the men’s Coupe Loterie Nationale, US Heffingen is the last remaining team from the National 2 and will start the game against Basket Esch with a 10-point advantage. Esch played without US-player Jordan Hicks on Sunday in Ettelbruck so that the champion might not be at full strength.
Arantia Larochette comes off a close win over the Musel Pikes and should have some confidence heading into the home game against Résidence Walfer. The guests are on a cold streak lately with 2 losses last week (against Esch and Contern) and want to use the cup competition to get back on track.
A very exciting game will be played in Ettelbruck where Etzella hosts league leader Amicale Steinsel. Etzella is known to play very well at home and needs a strong game to challenge the best team from the LBBL season so far. Amicale is now at full strength with the return of Jarvis Williams. For one of these two teams, the dream of the double title will come to an end on Wednesday evening.
On Thursday, Sparta and Mamer will play against each other in a rematch of the most exciting game of the 2023/24 season so far. In the championship, Mamer won after a buzzer beater in overtime and epic final moments in Bertrange.

In the women’s competition, Telstar Hesper announced a « forfait » against Gréngewald so that the cup winner has already clinched its ticket to the semi finals. T71 Dudelange enters the game against wiltz as the favorite, but the guests have gained confidence with an overtime victory over the Musel Pikes last weekend. The Black Frogs Schieren will start the game against Sparta with a 10-point bonus but as the clear underdog despite its strong record in the National 2 (9:1). On Thursday, Contern and Amicale will meet in a game that should become very interesting. Both teams were equally strong in the LBBL this season.
