The first double game day of the 2022/23 season is on the schedule in the women’s and men’s LBBL.
In the men’s LBBL, only 2 teams remain unbeaten, the finalists of last year: Amicale Steinsel and T71 Dudelange (3:0 record). The champion from Steinsel has a very difficult program this weekend. On Friday, the team of coach Etienne Louvrier faces Basket Esch (2:1) on the road and on Sunday, Arantia Larochette (2:1) is visiting Steinsel. T71 has an easier program with newcomer Gréngewald (1:2) and AB Contern (1:2) as opponents.
Some teams already face some pressure, especially Heffingen, the Musel Pikes and AS Zolwer (0:3 record) as they have lost all games so far. On Friday, one team will definitely grab its first win of the season as Zolwer hosts the Musel Pikes.
In the women’s LBBL, 4 teams remain unbeaten: Gréngewald (3:0), AB Contern (3:0), T71 (2:0) and Sparta (2:0). Gréngewald played in the EuroCupm qualification on Wednesday evening and has on off-day on Friday evening but will be in action in Wiltz on Sunday. Co-leader Contern has a difficult program with Résidence and T71 as opponents this weekend.
Zolwer (0:3) and Wiltz (0:3) are the only winless teams so far.
