The winter break is over. The women’s and men’s Enovos returns this weekend with a first game scheduled on Friday evening.
The promoted team Avanti Mondorf will host Arantia Larochette t0 start game day 15. The hosts share the last place in the standings with the Musel Pikes while Arantia is certainly having its eyes on the better placed teams in the standings in order to catch them before the start of the play-offs.
The winning streak of league leader Etzella Ettelbruck ended in Steinsel just before the winter break. The advantage on top of the league standings for the team of cach Gavin Love is still large, they are the clear favorite to enter the play-offs as the number one seed with 8 remaining games. With a home victory over second placed team Basket Esch in this week’s top game, Etzella would increase the lead to 4 points which would basically be the decision in the race for the number one spot.
A look at the men’s standings shows that the play-off race does not look exciting this season with 4 teams being far behind the 8th place. Only a winning streak by one of the 4 bottom teams could make the race interesting once again.
