On Thursday-evening, Etzella was able to beat Heffingen in the men’s Total League. After a balanced first half, the hosts used a full court press defense to put pressure on the guests and the team of coach Basic was able to build a big lead with that strategy.
Etzella – Heffingen 93:53
– No JICL player scored a point for Etzella in the first 15 minutes of the game, the score was 35:32 at the break
– Etzella scored 38 points in the third quarter, more than in the entire first half
– Burgett had a game-high 25 points and 11 rebounds
Heffingen’s record drops to 7:9, their chances to reach the play-offs are only theoretical. Etzela improves its record to a league-best 13:3, tied with Résidence Walfer.
