Big news for luxembourgish women’s basketball! Champion T71 Dudelange will play the regular season (group phase) of the EuroCup 2022/23 as the FIBA announced in a press release on Thursday. This means that the team from Dudelange enters the group stage without going through the qualification. Dudelange will therefore play at least 6 games in this competition.
The second team of Luxembourg, Gréngewald Hueschtert, will play the qualification and will have the chance to enter the regular season via this round. Last season, Gréngewald was eliminated by a team from Italy in the qualifiers.
The EuroCup regular season will be played across two conferences with the clubs divided based on geographical proximity criteria, and will feature a maximum of 48 participating teams, divided into 12 groups of four teams each.
With the competition being divided into 2 conferences, T71 will be part of conference 2 while Gréngewald will also play in the conference 2 qualifiers:
