Ex-WNBA player Logic is the difference-maker but she is getting a lot of help / T71 under pressure in game 2

25 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and plenty of highlight-plays, Samantha Logic had another outstanding performance in game 1 of the women’s finals. Logic was drafted and played in the WNBA for the San Antonio Stars in 2015, now, 6 yearsd later, she is trying to win a title in Luxembourg.

Together with Amanda Cahill, Logic builds an amazing duo, clearly the best duo in the women’s Total League this season. Cahill added 19 points and 11 rebounds in game 1, a double-double is nothing special for the center, she has dominated the Total League under the baskets this season. But in game 1, other players stepped up as well: Sofie Olsen added 14 points, Lina Fapranzi scored 10 and Nadine Bourg added 8 points, the team is playing at full confidence at the right moment of the season. In an interview with luxembourg.basketball a few weeks ago, Logic explained that she hates to lose and always plays with a lof of fire –> Interview with player of the week Samantha Logic: “I am a competitor, I hate to lose!”

Now, T71 will be under pressure on Saturday (19:00) for game 2. T71 has been playing well all season, but in game 1 of the finals, their shots were not falling (3/26 from behind the arc, 28-80 field goals overall). The team of coach Jérôme Altmann now needs a road-win to force a decisive game 3. Dudelange certainly has not lost its confidence because of 1 loss and game 2 of the finals could be another thrilling showdown, clearly a great publicity for women’s basketball in Luxembourg.
