On Wednesday evening, the women’s semi finals continued with game 2 of the best-of-3 series.
AB Contern – Sparta Bertrange 59:65
– Sparta wins the series 2:0 and advances to the finals
– Both teams fought until the final buzzer in a balanced game
– In a balanced team effort, Lena Mersch had a team-high 16 points including key points in the final minute(s)
T71 Dudelange – Gréngewald Hueschtert 79:65
– T71 ties the series at 1:1 and forces a decisive game 3 on Saturday
– Dudelange led 24:4 after 7 minutes, Gréngewald managed to reduce the deficit to 14 points heading into the break (44:30), but Dudelange kept playing great collective basketball and was able to hand Gréngewald its first loss of the season
– Dudelange had a balanced team effort with 5 players in double digits, Lauren VanKleunen led the team with 19 points
Meanwhile, the women of Black Star Mersch were able to beat Etzella Ettelbruck 2:0 in the promotion and promote to the Enovos League in the 2025/26 season.
