On Sunday, the Supercup was played in Kayl.
In the women’s game, champion Gréngewald Hueschtert was able to grab a 92:85 victory over cup champion T71 Dudelange. Dudelange stormed back in the second half after trailing 39:52 at half-time. Gréngewald’s new professional player Alexus Johnson scored a game-high 41 points and added 21 rebounds.
In the men’s game, champion Amicale Steinsel started strong and had a comfortable lead at the break. However, Résidence stormed back in the second half and finally won the game 84:82. Leon Ayers scored a game-high 39 points to lead Résidence to a derby-win.
Next weekend, the championship will start.
