On Thursday evening, Gréngewald Hueschtert played its fifth game of the EuroCup competition 2023/24. After a thrilling finish, Gréngewald wins 91:90! Take a look at the decisive plays here.
Gréngewald had a strong into the game. Led by Lisy Hetting and Amanda Cahill (both 8 points in the first quarter), the Greens led 24:22 after 10 minutes. Samantha Logic contributed with her passing skills and as a scorer to give the hosts a 46:43 lead at the break. In the third quarter, Gréngewald led by as many as 9 points (54:45), but the guests would go on a big run to end the third quarter and led by 4 points entering the fourth quarter. In thrilling final seconds, Gréngewald scored the decisive basket after a chaotic play. Antalya missed its last shot attempt.
Amanda Cahill scored 37 points while Samantha Logic added a double double (25 points, 11 rebounds).
It was the first victory by a luxembourgish team in this year’s EuroCup competition.
