On Thursday-evening, Gréngewald Hueschtert played its first game of the EuroCup competition. At home, in front of 150 supporters, the team of coach Francois Manti hosted Tany Brno from the Czech Republic. In the end, Gréngewald lost 59:76.
Marie-Bernadette Mbuyamba made her debut for the « Greens », she was added to the team to improve the roster in this international competition. Amanda Cahill did not play on Thursday.
The guests had a hot start and took a quick 12:3 lead. Gréngewald fought back into the game with a strong second quarter (21:13) and trailed by 34:41 at the break. The hosts treid to make comeback in the second half but the shooting percentage was not high enough. Gréngewald only scored 25 points in the second half and finally lost the game by 17 points.
