Gréngewald Hueschtert will continue to play in the men’s LBBL in the upcoming season. The team of coach Alex Pires was able to win the promotion/elegation series against Avanti Mondorf 2:0.
On Wednesday, Gréngewald won the second game of the series 71:62 in front of their home fans. The guests from the National 2 played without US-player Jalen Green (injured) in this game. After a balanced first half, Mondorf entered half-time with a 30:29 lead. However, Gréngewald started the second half with a 14:0 run behind 11 straight points by Terry Winn in the first 2 minutes of the half. Mondorf fought back and cut the deficit to only 4 points early in the fourth quarter. In the final minutes, Gréngewald managed to win the game by 9 points. Terry Winn led the hosts with 23 points.
