The women team of Gréngewald Hueschtert adds 4 JICL players to its roster. In fact, all 4 new players join from Etzella: Lena Hetto, Lynn Schreiner, Jo Schreiner and Cathrin Wolff will wear the jersey of the « greens » next season.
Gréngewald participated in the EuroCup last season and the club has the ambitions to participate on an international stage over the next years, they have confirmed their participation for the upcoming season. Lena Hetto, one of the newcomers at Gréngewald says that she „was looking for a new challenge“ and that decision to join Gréngewald with mutliple players came after „talks with Etzella ».
Furthermore, the club announced the signing of 2 foreign players: Cassandra Brown (Canada) and Erin Mathias (USA).
Laurie Irthum will leave Gréngewald to studay and play basketball abroad. Magaly Meynadier recently signed a contract in Saarlouis.
Etzella has lost 6 players this off-season: Ana Petrova and Lynn Kauffmann joined AB Contern. However, club-president Paul Wengler has confirmed that Etzella will have a women team in the Total League next season.
