The second game day of the men’s National 2 play-offs was played from Thursday until Saturday with one game on each evening.
On Thursday, league Leader US Heffingen won a high-scoring game on the road in Zolwer, the final score was 100:91. Taeshon Cherry led his team with 32 points, Max Schmit had a strong return after missing several games, he scored 20 points. A look at the standings shows that teh situation of Heffingen has further improved with 2 victories to start the play-offs, the team of coach Alex Pires already has a comfortable 6-point-lead to the fourth place in the standings.
On Friday evening, Avanti Mondorf won its home game against Racing Luxembourg 90:73. Jackson Meshanic returned to action after missing last week’s game, he led the team with 27 points, Jake Ross (24) and Luke Harper (21) added high scoring games as the trio combined for 72 points. With this victory, Mondorf has drawn even with Racing in the standings.

On Saturday evening, the Black Frogs Schieren and Black Star Mersch met in Schieren. The hosts were able to grab a 73:55 victory which allows the team of coach Nigel Tolentino to end the winning streak by the opponent and to draw even in the standings! 4 Schieren-players scored in double digits, Joshua Reynolds led his team with 26 points.
