Heffingen is the first team that relegates to the National 2 in the men’s LBBL. On Saturday, Heffingen lost against Gréngewald and with that loss, it is impossible for the team to reach the second place in the standings anymore.
On Saturday, Gréngewald was able to win 76:70 at home behind 28 points by Tevond Barnes. With that win, Gréngewald passed Zolwer in the standings and takes a 1-point lead over the opponent.
The Musel Pikes have started the play-down with 3 straight victories and are in the best position to reach the first spot in the standings, the only spot that guarantees a team to stay in the league. The second placed team will play a promotion/relegation series against the third best team from the National 2 which will be Avanti Mondorf or Mambra Mamer.
