D’Trainingen sinn immens gutt organiséiert vum coaching staff. Se sinn haart, an méi ustrengend wéi Trainingen an den Clibb. Gläichzäiteg maachen se vill Spaass, well mir vill spillen.
Ech muss just Alles ginn an d’Spiller ronderëm mech motivéieren.
De Malcolm an ech kruten amfong net direkt Aufgaben. Mee mir hunn decidéiert d’Bäll nom Training ëmmer ze raumen, well mir d’Roockies sinn. Eng vu mengen Aufgaben ass awer och d’Bäll vun enger Hal mat an déi Aaner ze huelen.

Mike Feipel is part of the men’s national team for the first time. The 20-year old player from Sparta Bertrange is excited to be part of the team.
How did you react when you got the news that you were nominated for the national team?
I was very happy and excited when I got the news. I am looking forward to playing and competing with the best players of our league. I had a good feeling to be nominated after I had a good start into the season.
What are your first impressions about the team practice?
The practices are perfectly organized by the coaching staff. They are very intense, a lot more intense then usual practices in our club, but also a lot of fun because we play a lot against each other.
What things are most important for you to adapt at the moment?
First of all, I have to learn the plays. However, I know some of them from my time with coach Ken at the U20-team. I have to find my place at the moment and give all I have, it is a challenge to answer the enormous intensity at practices, but that is positive and challenging which helps me a lot as a player.
What is your role in the team?
At the moment, I do not really have an idea what my role will be. I just have to give everything I have and motivate all players around me. If I step on the court, I will give my best and if I encourage my teammates from the bench, I will have the same mindset to give my best as a motivator.
What would you consider your strengths as a player?
I think that I have a good timing as I am often in the right spot at the right moment. Furthermore, I am quite tall which gives me the ability to disturb players on the defensive end and block shots. My ability to shoot the ball is also a strength of my game.
What rookie-duties do you have to take care of at practices?
Malcolm and myself did not really get any rookie-duties. However, we decided to put the basketballs away after practice because we are the rookies of the team. I also have the « job » to take the balls from one gym to another gym.
