In a hard fought game on Tuesday-evening, the Musel Pikes managed to beat Telstar 65:58 and with this win took a big 3 point lead over the opponent with only 3 game days remaining in the relegation group. Telstar is now 2 points behind Contern and 3 behind the Musel Pikes and is in a desperate situation over the next 3 games. The Musel Pikes are in a good position to finish the relegation group first, they have everything in their own hands.
In the final minutes of the game, Telstar was not able to hit the shots from outside the arc, their biggest strenght all season, and the Musel Pikes won a low scoring game. Christmas (18 points), Pwono (16) and Buntic (10) scored in double digits while Jefferson and Foster both had 20 points for the guests.
On Saturday, Telstar will host the Musel Pikes for the rematch while Racing will host AB Contern.
