The first game day of the men’s play-down has been played this weekend, it was the first out of 6 games for each team.
The Musel Pikes stay first in the standings after beating US Heffingen 94:77, Othniel Shelton led the Pikes with 34 points while Tom Welter added 22. Heffingen entered the play-down in a difficult situation and after this loss, their chances of staying in the LBBL are only theoretical.
On Sunday, AS Zolwer won the key game against Gréngewald Hueschtert 84:75. With this victory, the hosts tied with the opponent in the standings. Vic Heuschling (23 points) and Gilles Weis (20) led Zolwer to this key victory. Trevond Barnes led the guests with 34 points.
