A full game day, the 3rd in total, was played in the men’s National 2 play-offs.
On Saturday, league leader Kordall Steelers made another big step towards promotion as the team of coach Tara Booker won 94:64 on the road in Mersch against Black Star. All 11 players scored points for the guests, Kordall won every quarter and had a 30-point lead after 40 minutes. Black Star’s record drops to 12:7 but the team is still 3rd in the league standings.
After 2 victories to start the play-offs, Racing Luxembourg lost 79:88 against Mambra Mamer. The guests stay in a decent position to attack the teams in front of them in the standings. Billy McDaniel and Lewayne Grant scored 29 points each to lead Mamer to this victory.
On Sunday, Avanti Mondorf was able to cruise by the Hedgehogs Bascharage, the final score was 87:53. With this victory, Mondorf solidifies the second place in the standings and has a 1-point lead over Black Star. Bascharage had a chance to tie with Mondorf in the standings but now trails the opponent by 2 points. Four Mondorf-players scored in double digits as Jalen Green led the team with 32 points.
7 game days remain to be played in the play-offs, 2 teams will move up to the LBBL while the 3rd seeded team will play a promotion series (best of 3) against the third last placed team from the LBBL.
