7 game days out of 10 have been played in the men’s National 2 play-offs.
On Saturday, the Kordall Steelers were able to raise their chances of promoting by handing league leader Racing Luxembourg its first loss of the season. The Steelers were able to grab a 85:80 win on the road in the capital behind Everette Hammond’s 35 points. At the same time, the Black Frogs Schieren surprisingly lost 77:79 on the road against BC Mess which allows Kordall to reduce the deficit to one single point in the league standings.
Next Saturday, both teams will meet in a head-to-head showdown in Schieren. If Schieren can win this game by more than 4 points, the team promotes to the Enovos League. With a victory by 4 points or less, Schieren would take a 2-point lead with 2 more games on the schedule. Kordall could tie in the standings with a victory and because the team wins the direct comparison in that scenario, they take the 2nd place with 2 more remaining games.
On Sunday, Zolwer was able to grab a 83:80-victory over Gréngewald Hueschtert, both teams are out of the race to finish on places 1-3.
