The second game day was played in the men’s National 2 this weeekend.
The Kordall Steelers won the top game against Racing Luxembourg and improve to 2:0 while the team from the capital has lost both games to start the season. 4 players scored 13+ points for the Steelers, Isayah Johnson led the team with 32 points as Racing’s Matt Weir, who led his team with 29 points, missed a potential game-tying shot at the end of the game.
League newcomer Wiltz was able to beat BC Mess 92:68. Anthony Jones scored 35 points to lead his team to a comfortable victory while Marcus Neal scored 43 out of the 68 points for Mess. The guests played a limited roster, their new professional player was not yet able to play and multiple players were injured. Wiltz has a balanced record (1:1) while Mess has lost both games so far this season.
Avanti Mondorf dominated the Hedgehogs Bascharage from start to finish to earn a clear 91:58 victory on the road. Jalen Green scored a team-high 29 points, Blake Seits (20), Gilles Fassotte (17) and Steve Kuhlmann (11) scored in double digits as well as Mondorf improves to 2:0 on the season. It was the first game of the season for Bascharage, the team is still waiting for Tyrell Sturdivant to receive his license.
Black Star Mersch earned a clear home victory over the Black Frogs Schieren, the final score was 87:69. Tylik Evans led his team with 35 points as Schieren had to play withput their injured profesisonal player Williams (broken finger). The hosts knocked down 14 shots from behind the arc.
