Luxembourg faces Croatia on Saturday at 20:00 (live stream)

Luxembourg’s men’s national team will start the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 PreQualifiers on Saturday in Croatia, the game against the favorite of the group will tip off at 20:00!

After winning the GOLD MEDAL at the games of the small States of Europe, our men’s national team is challenged on the road to start this 4-game competition. Group favorite Croatia is ranked 25th in the FIBA world rankings, 52 places ahead of Luxembourg (77th).

Croatia has already collected one win, the team completely dominated Ireland and won 89:49 on Wednesday, it was an exclamation mark as the team from Croatia is the clear favorite in the group.

National team head coach Ken Diederich: „We know that this game will be a very difficult one. We watched the game on Wednesday and know that Croatia is a team that in terms of quality should not be a part of this PreQualifiers. We focus on the things that we can control, we want to take care of the ball and avoid turnovers and make our open shot attempts. Our goal is to try to limit Croatia in some ways, they can not make 15 three-pointers once again (Croatia hit 15/27 shots from « 3 » gainst Ireland). If we can focus on the little things and stick to our game plan, we can try to win a quarter and stay in the game for as long as possible. We want to use this game to be at our best against Ireland at home on Wednesday. »
