Our men’s national team played its second game of the games of the small States of Europe on Tuesday. The FLBB squad lost 72:76 against tournament favorite Montenegro.
The opponent had the better start (26:17 after 10 minutes) and was able to extend the lead before the half-time break (50:30). The FLBB squad stormed back in the second half and cut the deficit to under 10 points with 3 minutes remaining. In the end, Luxembourg lost the game by pnly 4 points which certainly gives the team a lot of confidence for a possible rematch in the semi finals or finals.
Alex Laurent led Luxembourg with 25 points.
