National team head coach Mariusz Dziurdzia, who is currently in the preparation for the national team games in July, analyzes the seasons from our women-players abroad in the 2020/21 season.
Svenia Nurenberg (USA)
Svenia went to the USA in 2019, she played a good season as a rookie and was starting some games for the team. Unfortunately, she had to pause all season because of an injury. She has practiced with our coaching staff over the last weeks/months. She is trying to get ready and become as strong and she was before the injury.
Anne Simon (USA)
Anne has had an amazing development in the USA. She was rookie of the year in her first season and this season she played an even bigger role in a stronger team. Unfortunately, she missed the March Madness 2 years in a row, one time because of Covid and this season because they lost the final game. Anne knows waht she wants when it comes to basketball, she is going her way and she will definitely get over small defeats like missing out on March Madness. I am sure she will take over even more responsibility next season and become stronger once again.
Loulou Kenens (Austria)
I have watched some games of Loulou and she has been playing well in Austria. If she keeps playing at this level, she might deserve to be invited to the practices of our national team soon.
Julija Vujakovic (USA)
Julija has become better in every of her 3 years in the USA. She played well this season, individually and as a team. She is heading into the right direction and she will improve even more in her final season and we will have a lot of joy with her in the future in the national team.
Lisa Jablonowski (Costa Masnaga, Italy)
Lisa played he first season as a professional players, she played well and consistent in a very young team. She was one of the more experienced players in the team and I think for a first season Lisa played very well. She will definitely improve and she the abilities to play some more years on a high level in Europe.
Lisa will stay in Italy with her team for another season.
Magaly Meynadier (Nördlingen, Germany)
Magaly has become a leader and captain in her team in her 5th year as a professional player. She is a role model for every young player with her attitude. She has made herself a name with her amazing defense, nobody wants to bring the ball up the court when she is guarding a player.
Magaly Meynadier will play in Saarlouis next season. ( Meynadier returns to Saarlouis )
Mandy Geniets (Saarlouis, Germany)
She went to Saarlouis in 2019 and had a good start but last season was a little bit disappointing as she did not get a lot of playing time and she had to deal with several small injuries. After her injury in 2019/20 she made a strong comeback this season but she did have the trust of her coach this season. I do not understand why she was not playing more because she played well when she was on the court.
Mandy Geniets will play in the Total League in Dudelange next season where she also played at the end of this season.
