Men’s weekend recap – Résidence takes over the lead in the standings, Contern is on the rise

This weekend, the 10th game-day was played in the men’s Total League. Only 4 out 6 games were played, the games Basket Esch – Musel Pikes and Etzella – Heffingen were cancelled due to the Covid-19-virus. On top of the standings, Résidence is now tied with T71 after Walferdange won the top game against Dudelange on Saturday.

T71 – Résidence 72:75
– Kreps and Rideau scored 17 points to lead the guests to a big road win
– Ivey led T71 with 27 points
– Both teams are now tied on top of the standings!

Racing – Amicale 83:68
– Rutherford had 23 points and 21 rebounds, Sam Ney added 21 points
– Tunstall had 23 points and 17 rebounds for Amicale, the team only hit 4 out of 22 3-pointers

Sparta – Telstar 87:56
– All 12 Sparta-players played at least 10 minutes and everybody scored points for Bertrange, Wolff had a team-high 17 points
– Telstar played with 9 players and everybody scored at least 2 points

Contern – Arantia 87:77 (after OT)
– Wolzfeld, Birenbaum and Shahid scored around 20 points for Contern
– Johnson (23/14) and Sturdivant (21/11) had double-doubles for Arantia

Basket Esch – Musel Pikes
– the game was cancelled during the warm-up because of Covid-19 and will have to be rescheduled

Etzella – Heffingen
– the game was cancelled because of the Covid-19-virus and will be rescheduled
