In the men’s National 2 play-offs, game day 4 was on the schedule on Saturday evening.
The key game was played in Schieren between the Black Frogs and the guests Avanti Mondorf. The guests were able to grab a 88:84 which allows them to reduce the deficit in the standings towards the opponent to 2 points. Luke Harper led the guests with 31 points, Jake Ross and Jackson Meshanic added 21 each to help Mondorf stay in a decent position in the race for the promotion spots. Mondorf trails Schieren and Mersch by 2 points with 6 games remaining.
League leader US Heffingen continues to improve its position and the promotion should only be a matter of time for the team of Alex Pires. After a 84:68 victory on the road against Racing Luxembourg, Heffingen’s lead in the standings
The guests led 30:10 after the first quarter, Jonathan Janssen led his team with 22 points, Max Schmit added 13 points as 10 players scored points for Heffingen.
Black Star beats AS Zolwer 90:74 and ties with Schieren in second place in the standings. After leaving last week’s game with an injury, Zolwer‘s Tylik Evans missed this game. Jeremiah Culver led Black Star with 27 points, Kevin Sarlette added 22.
