The men’s relegation group is starting to enter the phase where the final decisions will fall. It is already known that Racing Luxembourg will play in the National 2 next season. Another team will fall to the second league while the second placed in the standings will play against the 3rd best team from the National 2 in a series.
On Tuesday-evening (20:00), a rescheduled game will be played between the Musel Pikes and Telstar. Both teams will in fact face each other twice this week because they will meet again on Saturday. Those 2 games will be absolute key games for the team from Hesperange because the team of coach Gabor Boros needs to come from behind and put more pressure on the Musel Pikes and Contern. Furthermore, the direct comparison could become a big factor at the end of the relegation group and so this week’s games might be the key game in the race against relegation. Telstar knows that they face a must-win-situation on Tuesday.
Both Telstar and the Musel Pikes have won their two games in the relegation group so far so that one team will lose for the first time on Tuesday-evening.
On Saturday, Telstar will host the Musel Pikes while Racing will host AB Contern.
