The Musel Pikes have started the play-down with 2 victories and are in an excellent position in the standings after Wednesday’s 95:88 win on the road in Oberanven.
In fact, the game was decided in overtime as the Musel Pikes were able to win the extra period 13:6. Tom Welter scored 23 points and Othniel Shelton led the guests with 24 points.
Last weekend, Heffingen was able to beat Zolwer 90:82, a victory that kept the hopes alive for the last placed team in the standings. The team trails both Zolwer and Gréngewald by 3 points with 4 games remaining.
On Friday evening, Zolwer will host the Musel Pikes. If the guests can win their 3rd straight game in this round, they would make another big step to stay in the LBBL. Zolwer needs to show a reaction after its loss in Heffingen last weekend. Gréngewald will host Heffingen on Saturday evening.
