The National 2 standings are slowly showing a first picture which teams might compete for the promotion to the LBBL this season. Let’s remember that 2 teams will move up immediately while the 3rd placed team will play a best-of-5 series against the 3rd last team from the LBBL with a chance to promote.
On Saturday, Bascharage earned their 3rd win in 4 games with a 95:74 win over BC Mess. The trio Logins (37 points), Morton (16) and Ndiaye (18) was unstoppable and handed Mess another loss, the team is still winless this season and it looks like the team from Mondercange is not a candidate to promote this season.

In a high-scoring game, Kordall won 105:99 against Black Star Mersch. While Barkley led his team with 34 points, Lazar Lukic sparked Kordall with 18 points while the hosts played a new professional player: Oberweiser replaces Jacks. Kordall overcame 43 by Brett Morris. Kordall improves to a 3:1 record while Black Star has lost 3 games out of 4 so far.
On Sunday, Mondorf handed Zolwer their first loss of the season with a 73:65 win. Zolwer had a huge run to start the final quarter but Mondorf reacted once again to grab the victory. Khalil Small scored a game-high 37 points to lead Mondorf, Ross added 22 points. Mondorf improves to 3:1 this season and draws tie in the standings with Zolwer that lost for the first time in the 2021/22 season.
Mamer was close to leaving the court as the winner for the first time this season, but they fell just short against Gréngewald, the final score was 73:76 in favor of the guests. 5 players scored between 10 and 15 points for the « greens », something you rarely see in the second league. McDaniel scored 38 points for Mamer but it was not enough as the team falls to an 0:4 record while Gréngewald improves to 3:1.
