AS Zolwer, the favorite of the league, managed to start with a comfortable win over promoted team Mamer, the final score was 99:72. Mamer played without a second professional player, McDaniel led his team with 26 points but it was Faison Brock who had a game-high 41 points.
The Kordall Steelers earned a big road win to start the season. In a close game, the guests won 91:86 against Bascharage.
BC Mess won its home opener in a very intense game against Mondorf. The guests jumped out to an early lead (20:6) but Mess fought back into the game. In the final quarter, Mondorf had a 10-point-lead again but Mess stormed back once again and finally won 98:95.
In a low-scoring game, Black Star Mersch and Gréngewald combined for 106 points! The « greens » won 55:51 at the end.
