Big honor for Nadia Mossong and our basketball federation! The 37-year old national team player, who is currently part of the 3X3 team in Malta, was the flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the games of the small States of Europe in Malta on Monday evening together with Eric Glod (table tennis). This is clearly a special moment for Mossong who was a part of Luxembourg’s 5vs5 national team for nearly all of her career.
Nadia Mossong: „It was a very nice moment to be able to represent all the Luxembourgish athletes at the opening ceremony yesterday. To be selected from so many athletes is of course something very special and not really something I expected. It was also really cool to be able to share this moment with Eric Glod and it gave me one more boost for the upcoming competitions. »
