A full game day was played in the men’s National 2 this weeekend. After 5 game days, a trio is on top of the standings with Bascharage, Kordall Steelers and Gréngewald. the only team without a win os Mamer.
This weekend, Gréngewald took revenge after their cup loss during the week against Mondorf and beat the same opponent 73:64 at home. Their trio Barnes (29 points), Henkel (16) and Overwater (13) did most of the scoring as the team earned a hard fought victory and stays on top of the standings. Mondorf has lost its second game of the season but they remain in a comfortable situation.
Bascharage stepped on the gas in the second quarter against Black Star with 40 points in those 10 minutes and cruised to a big 104:79 win on the road. Logins (38 points), Aziz (28) and Morton (26) combined for an incredible amount of 92 points. While the team of coach Radomirovic stays on top of the standings, Black Star’s record drops to 1:4.
Led by US-player Coleman’s 36 points, BC Mess earned a home win over Mamer (87:62). Maxime Sunnen stepped up with 24 points for Mess, the team won its first game of the season while Mamer remains winless after 5 games.
After starting the season with 3 wins, Zolwer dropped its second straight game against Kordall. 80:86 was the final score on Sunday. Knight and Council combined for 63 points but no other player scored more than 6 points. For the guests, Max Schmit (20) and Lazar Lukic (12) had good scoring nights as Barkley had a team-high 29 points. With this win, Kordall passed Zolwer in the standings.
