Game day 15 was played in the men’s National 2 this weekend.
The main game was played in the capital where Racing Luxembourg won 93:77 against direct opponent Avanti Mondorf. Eddie Lewis exploded for 43 points (7 threes) to help the team of head coach Adam Radomirovic to improve to a 8:5 record. Mondorf falls to 7:6 and is 6th in the newest standings, clearly a disappointing place in the standings for the team of coach Bob Adam at this moment of the season.
League leader Heffingen had 5 players with 8+ points to cruise to an 87:69 victory over the Hedgehogs Bascharage. Once again, Jonathan Janssen led the team with 31 points. Next Sunday, Heffingen is facing Sparta Bertrange from the LBBL in the cup semi final at the Coque in Kirchberg!
Black Star Mersch used a strong second half and especially a strong fourth quarter to beat BC Mess 82:67. Marquavian Stephens scored 38 points to lead his team. During the week, BC Mess was able to grab a 101:55 victory over Telstar Hesper. However, the crucial loss against Mersch leaves Mess with only theoretical chances of moving to the 6th spot in the standings over the next weeks.
On Sunday, Zolwer was able to improve to 8:5 with a 130:54 win over the winless team Telstar Hesper, Tylik Evans scored 50 points.
