The first game day in the men’s National 2 was played on Saturday and Sunday.
The Black Frogs Schieren won a close game against Gréngewald Hueschtert, the final score was 76:70 in a game that was decided in the final minutes. Jackson Meshanic, who joined Schieren from Mondorf during the off-season, scored 27 points to lead his team. Aziz Ndiaye led the guests with 23 points while 3 JICL players (Lex Bauer / 17, Nicolas Hittelet / 12, Dorian Scheltien / 11) scored in double digits but it was not enough for the guests to grab a win with only one professional player.
In the other 3 games of the first game day, the end results were clear. Racing Luxembourg started the season with a 96:78 victory on the road against BC Mess. Antunio Bivins scored 40 points in his debut for his new club while Brendan Temple added 31 points for the club from the capital. AS Zolwer was led by Kaden Sand’s 42 points to grab a 82:66 victory over Nitia Bettembourg. The Kordall Steelers had no difficulties to beat the Hedgehogs Bascharage 98:39. Tylandrius Parks scored a game-high 29 points while Bryan Powell added 26 points in a one-sided game.
Black Star Mersch did not play on game day 1.
