US Heffingen has the second best record in the league, the team of coach Alex Pires has won 5 out of 6 games to start the season. On Saturday, Heffingen earned a clear 92:70 victory over Avanti Mondorf. Jonathan Janssen led the team with 26 points, Tim Schomer (20) and Philippe Arendt (18 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists) also had strong games for the hosts.
Black Star Mersch won a key game against AS Zolwer, the final score was 80:68. With this victory, Mersch is tied with the opponent in the standings but Zolwer has the better record overall. Once again, the strong duo Culver/Stephens was dominant for Black Star as both players combined for 64 points.
Racing Luxembourg has a balanced 3:3 record after beating BC Mess 96:71. Eddie Davis scored 26 points and Max Hilger added 16 to help the team from the capital grab the « W ». Both teams are tied in the standings with the same record.
The winless team Telstar Hesper did not play this weekend. After the regular season, the top 6 teams will enter the play-offs in the second league. 2 teams will promote and the third placed team will have a chance to promote in a best-of-3 promotion-series.
