On Saturday-morning, the general assembly of the basketball federation was held in the Coque in Kirchberg.
The following changes were voted and approved by the clubs:
– The game mode was adapted to the new number of teams in the leagues (game mode will follow soon). In fact, 11 teams will compete in the women’s LBBL in the upcoming season while the women’s National 2 will be extended with (one) B team(s). The number of teams in the men’s National 2 will be changed from 8 to 10 clubs.
– The game stats for the men’s National 2 will be mandatory starting next season.
– B teams will be allowed to play in the Cup FLBB competition (women and men). However, no player who is an active player in the A team can compete in this competition.
Notes:
– Wiltz (women) will remain in the women’s LBBL next season
– Telstar (men) asked to relegate to the National 3
– Black Star and Mamer will remain in the men’s National 2, Wiltz and Schieren will promote to the second league (East Side Pirates resigned)
