– Both teams have the same record after this game (3:6)
– Hassan Thomas is a new professional player in Bertrange, he replaces Lavone Holland
– After a strong start by Arantia (10:0), Sparta turned the game around with a superb second quarter
– Arantia trailed by double digits in the second half and was not able to come closer than 5 points in the final minutes, Max Logelin scored 28 points for Sparta and had a strong overall game
Amicale Steinsel – Musel Pikes 94:76
– Amicale stays on top of the standings with an 8:1 record, the Musel Pikes’ record drops to 2:7
– 5 Amicale-player scored in double digits, 10 players scored points for the hosts
– Aiken and Demuth led the hosts with 17 points each, Green and Bibbs combined for 58 points for the guests in the absence of the injured point guard Tom Welter
On Sunday:
Etzella Ettelbruck – T71 Dudelange 104:82
– Etzella improves to 6:3, T71’s record drops to 5:4
– Jimmie Lee Taylor scored 45 points against his former team and was unstoppable in the second half
Kordall Steelers – Gréngewald Hueschtert 89:86
– Kordall improves its record to 3:6, Gréngewald’s record drops to 1:8
– Both teams had new non-JICL players, Chris Paul made his debut for Kordall and hit the decisive shot, while Maurice Calloo made his debut for Gréngewald
– Paul gave Kordall a 3-point lead with an and-1 play, Tristin Walley had a chance to tie the game but his 3-pointer came up short (video)

Women’s LBBL
Friday:
AB Contern – Musel Pikes 66:44
– Contern improves its record to a balanced 3:3 record while the Musel Pikes have a 1:5 record after this loss.
– Francesca Wurtz led Contern with 22, Charlie Bidinger (14) and Lynn Kauffmann (11) scored in double digits as well
Saturday:
Amicale Steinsel – Gréngewald Hueschtert 70:89
– Champion Gréngewald remains unbeaten (6:0), Amicale’s record drops to 4:2
– The guests had a strong start and led 28:21 after one quarter, both teams combined for 15 three-pointers in the first half while Amicale trailed 37:42
– The Greens created the decisive gap in the fourth quarter, Samantha Logic had a superb stat line with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 7 steals
Les Sangliers Wiltz – Sparta Bertrange 61:82
– Sparta’s record improves to 6:1, Wiltz has a 2:4 record after this loss
– Martha Burse (23 points) and Jovana Jaksic (21) led the guests
On Sunday:
AS Zolwer – T71 Dudelange 51:119
– T71 improves its record to 5:1, Zolwer remains winless (0:7)
– All 12 players scored points for the guests, Mia Loyd scored 22 points and added 20 rebounds
