On Sunday evening, the second semi final in the men’s cup competition was played at the Coque in Kirchberg in front of around 2000 spectators (sold out). Sparta Bertrange won the game 84:74 and will face Résidence Walfer in the cup final on March 16th.
Nationale 2 team US Heffingen started with a 10-point bonus and a new professional player (Jeff Early). However, Sparta already took the lead in the game after 13 minutes (28:27). Heffingen reacted and took a 5-point lead into the locker room (39:34).
After another balanced third quarter, Sparta came out strong in the fourth quarter and jumped out to an 8-point lead behind multiple key plays by newly acquired Isaiah White who played his first game for Sparta this season. He finished the game with a game-high 29 points.
