On Thursday-evening, the double game in the women’s LBBL started with 2 games.
Behind 6 players in double digits, Gréngewald cruised to a 100:59 win on the road in Wiltz. Lynn Schreiner led the greens with 21 points while Schultz had a game-high 25 points while Wiltz had only 4 points scored by JICL-players. Gréngewald improves to 6:3 while Wiltz’s record drops to 2:7.
In their first game under new head coach Mike Feyder, Sparta earned a surprising win over Résidence (89:83). Henket (23), Pfirman (23) and Schmidt (18) combined for 64 points. Résidence had a strong trio as well as Anthony (28), Cahill (23) and Leid (20) combined for 71 points. Sparta has won its second game this season (2:7) while Résidence has a 5:4 record after this loss.
