The recent FIBA Europe Coaching Exchange, held from October 11th to 13th, brought together international delegates and coaches for a series of insightful sessions and interactive discussions. The event began on Friday, October 11th, with the arrival of participants, followed by the official welcome from FIBA Europe and the federation.
The first session, led by Hanno Möttölä, focused on child development, providing valuable insights into supporting young athletes. Then, Nenad Trunic conducted a session on training methods for the U14 category, highlighting effective practices for young players.
Saturday, October 12th, started with practical on-court sessions led by Nenad Trunic and Hanno Möttölä, covering basic skills in defense and offense. These workshops offered coaches concrete techniques to apply with their teams. The afternoon sessions focused on developing defensive and offensive strategies, with detailed presentations from both trainers.
On Sunday, October 13th, the Romanian Basketball Federation presented its U14 program, followed by Elisabeth Cebrian’s « Hoops for Schools » initiative. The day ended with an interactive discussion, allowing coaches to exchange ideas.
Luxembourg was represented at the event by Laure Diederich and Alexandre Carradore. This exchange offered valuable opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking, enabling participants to explore new strategies to enhance their coaching practices.
