After the men’s cup competition was the focus during the week, a full game day in the women’s and men’s LBBL is scheduled this weekend.
In the men’s LBBL, Résidence Walfer has the chance to take the sole leader position on Saturday evening. The team needs to win its home game against the winless promoted team Kordall Steelers in order to stay on the 1st spot in the standings for at least 24 hours. Sparta Bertrange and Mambra Mamer will have the chance to catch or pass Résidence on Sunday. While Sparta faces a difficult challenge on the road in Ettelbruck, Mamer hosts Gréngewald, a team that has lost both games so far this season. Another storyline will be the return of Alex Laurent, he could make his debut for Amicale Steinsel on Saturday evening on the road in Contern.

In the women’s LBBL, the top game and rematch of last year’s finals, T71 Dudelange against Gréngewald Hueschtert, is on the schedule. It is a perfect time for both teams to have an intense game because both teams will start their EuroCup campaign next week. T71 Dudelange will start the competition on October 11th on the road in Spain, Gréngewald will play its first game on October 12th at home against Brno (Czech Republic).
