On Thursday evening, T71 Dudelange played its second game of the EuroCup campaign. At home, the team of coach Jérôme Altmann faced the champion of Slovakia, Pietanske Cajky.
Led by Ehi Etute (8 points, 11 rebounds in the first half), T71 managed to stay in the game in the first half. Dudelange was ice cold from outside the arc (0/8 threes) but trailed by only 2 points heading into the break, Cajky also had trouble shooting the ball (1/14 threes) and it was a low scoring game in the first half (25:27).
In the third quarter, the guests started to build a lead by scoring as many points in one quarter as they did in the entire first half (27). T71 had too many turnovers and Cajky took advantage in transition. After 30 minutes, the the guests had a big 19-point lead. T71 tried to comeback and showed a reaction in the final minutes, but the team could not closer than 12 points and lost by 18 points in the end, the final score was 52:70.
Mia Loyd led T71 with 17 points, Ehi Etute recorded a double double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
